AIRBRUSH MAKEUP
What is Airbrush Makeup?
-
Flawless
-
Long-Lasting
-
Light Weight
-
Hypoallergenic
-
Non-comedogenic (won't clog pores)
-
Resistant to transfer, water, sweat, and tears
Airbrush makeup utilizes a fine mist for application, allowing for a distribution that creates a flawlessly blended, radiant complexion. It offers sheer to full coverage, targeting discolorations, fine lines, and pores to minimize skin imperfections for a natural look. Unlike traditional makeup, which can settle into pores and wrinkles, airbrush makeup provides a lightweight, smooth finish.
The natural properties of silicone in airbrush makeup give a soft-focus effect, enhancing a healthy glow suitable for all skin types. While traditional makeup tends to fade throughout the day, silicone-based airbrush formulas last 12-24 hours and resist moisture and tears. Plus, being oil-free and hypoallergenic makes it ideal for every skin type.
Do you have airbrush foundation shades to match all different skin tones?
Yes, we offer airbrush foundation in a wide range of shades, from the lightest to the darkest tones.
GENERAL MAKEUP CONCERNS
Do you offer other types of makeup, or is it strictly airbrush?
We use a hybrid technique. Airbrush foundation is applied exclusively for a flawless, long-lasting base. For all eye applications, we typically use traditional makeup products. For the contour, highlight, and blush, we use airbrush primarily, though traditional products may be utilized based on specific client needs.

Do you use traditional foundation as well (different than that of the airbrush application)?
The foundation is exclusively airbrush.
What makeup brands do you use?
We utilize Temptu airbrush makeup along with various other top-name brands for traditional makeup.
How long will the makeup last and are touch-ups needed?
Makeup should last all day and night without issues, except lip color, which may require reapplication due to various factors

Is the traditional makeup waterproof, and will it last as long as airbrush?
All our makeup is waterproof except for powders like eyeshadows. Traditional makeup, when layered on airbrush and primer, will last longer and stay fresh throughout the day. Your makeup will be the least of your worries all day!!!

How long will the lip color last?
While lip stains or long-wear lip colors are applied, their duration can vary based on activities like eating or drinking. Long-wear products may last longer than regular ones, but individual factors will influence their staying power. It is recommended to have a lip color available for re-application.

Do you contour, highlight, and fill in brows?
Yes, contouring, highlighting, and brow filling are standard unless you request otherwise.
Should I cleanse and moisturize my face before my makeup application?
Yes, you should follow your daily skincare routine, including moisturizing and SPF, to ensure a radiant appearance.
What are the most effective steps to prepare skin for a flawless and radiant makeup application, considering both long-term (months) and short-term (weeks) preparation timelines?
For genuinely flawless makeup, the timeline dictates the strategy. With a long-term timeline of months, it is recommended to establish a core, consistent routine of daily cleansing, moisturizing, and broad-spectrum SPF use, while also incorporating gentle exfoliation 2-3 times per week to eliminate dead skin cells. This longer period allows time to safely address major skin concerns with professional treatments like facials, while consistently prioritizing hydration and rest. However, if there are only a few weeks to prepare, the focus must immediately shift to maximum hydration and strict damage control. This involves religiously applying a gentle, hydrating cleanser and moisturizer twice daily, drinking a high volume of water, and maintaining gentle exfoliation no more than twice per week. Regardless of the starting point, it is recommended to avoid all new products, harsh treatments, peels, or aggressive extractions in the final three weeks to ensure the skin is completely calm, plump, and receptive for makeup application on the day.

I have a particular makeup product I love. Can it be used as well?
Certainly! Feel free to bring any trusted makeup, and we can incorporate it into your look.
I have oily skin. Will the airbrush makeup stay put?
Yes, with a suitable primer for oily skin, airbrush makeup will remain intact.

May I bring inspirational pictures?
Absolutely, please do! Bringing inspirational photos is a fantastic way to show me your style and aesthetic goals. Just keep in mind that the makeup may look slightly different on you due to your unique facial features, bone structure, and skin tone compared to the model in the picture; we'll use the photos as a guide to create a customized look that is radiant on you.

Should I have makeup or hair done first? Will hairspray affect my makeup?
Makeup can be applied either before or after hairstyling, depending on your preference and schedule. Hairspray will not impact the makeup application.

How do I remove the airbrush and waterproof makeup?
You can remove all makeup, including airbrush formulas, with your daily cleanser. However, waterproof makeup (especially mascara and eyeliner) requires an oil-based remover. If you don't have an oil-based remover, coconut oil, olive oil, mineral oil, grapeseed oil, or even petroleum jelly can be used as effective substitutes. If using the oils, follow up by cleansing your entire face to remove any oily residue. *Coconut oil and olive oil are prone to clogging pores.

Should I place my contacts in before or after my makeup application?
While it's technically possible to do it afterwards, inserting them before you put on makeup is the best way to prevent irritation and keep your contacts clean. This ensures you don't trap any stray powder, dust, or product residue underneath the lens, which is the main cause of discomfort and redness.

Do you supply touch-up makeup?
We do not provide touch-up makeup. Since our airbrush makeup is paired with waterproof/resistant products, minimal, if any, touch-ups are usually needed. However, we highly recommend you bring your lip color for reapplying throughout the event. Q-tips are also excellent for quickly cleaning up any minor imperfections that may occur.
FALSE STRIP EYELASHES
I've never had false lashes before. I don't know if I want them, and how do they feel?
There is no pressure to wear false lashes. You can try on different sizes and styles after your makeup is done. Most find that they enjoy the added effect, and the lashes can be removed anytime if you prefer not to wear them. False lashes may feel awkward at first. Give them about fifteen minutes to adjust, and you will forget they are there. The lashes may be easily removed at any time by yourself if you decide they are not for you.
How long will the false strip lashes last, and how do I remove them?
Strip lashes are meant to stay put for a day. As long as you are not rubbing your eyes, you should not have to worry about your lashes not staying put. Some people will fall asleep with the lashes on and wear them the next day (if they stay on through the night) or reapply them up to a few times. The lashes have the best and freshest appearance on the first day. The lashes may be carefully pulled off -inner corner to outer corner, or taken off with your daily cleansers/eye makeup remover.
ALLERGIES & SENSITIVITIES
I have allergies or sensitive skin. Do you use hypoallergenic makeup or have any suggestions for makeup?
Temptu airbrush makeup is hypoallergenic, but traditional brands may vary. You’re welcome to bring your own products for application if you prefer.

TRIAL
Is a trial necessary?
A trial is optional but highly recommended to achieve your desired look and address any concerns to be fully prepared for your special day.
TIME SCHEDULING
How long does the trial take?
A trial typically lasts about 1-2 hours to allow for creativity.
How long does the application take on the day of the event?
The application usually takes around 30 minutes, especially after having practiced during the trial.
LOCATION & TRAVEL
Do you offer airbrush services at a salon or on-site?
I can travel to your location in the Mid-Michigan area for an additional fee, or you can visit my home studio for small groups. Makeup Lessons and trial consultations are held at my home studio.
I am interested in booking with you for my wedding, but my venue is not suitable. Any solutions?
Consider an alternative location like a nearby hotel room or a private home (yours or a family member's).
For small groups, you are welcome to use my private studio.
If you opt for a salon, please make sure you have management's approval for an independent contractor to provide services there. Note that any fee the salon charges for this must be covered by the client.
